Onggi Slides

This collection features the studios of Kim Il Mann from Yeoju and Lee Hak Soo from Bosong.  Kim Il Mann’s kiln is seen in slides 2-5 in the Kiln Slides. That is Adam Field in the kiln.  Adam will host the October 2009 tour.  Kim uses coils and as demonstrated by his son Chang Ho. 

Lee Hak Soo used flopped slabs. Lee was firing his new kiln the day we visited.  Although Lee Hak Soo has built his own kiln and his father has passed, Hak Soo is also repairing his father’s kiln.
